CARF provides accreditation services worldwide at the request of health and human service providers. An independent, not-for-profit organization, The Joint Commission accredits and certifies nearly 21,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards.


The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, CMS, is part of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). They administer including: Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Health Insurance Marketplace.
