  • Join the Women’s Sports Foundation in celebrating National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD), a celebration that inspires girls and women to play and be active, and to realize their full power. NGWSD honors the achievements of women athletes, coaches, and leaders.
  • Visit the NGWSD website to locate an event in your community, plan or register your own event, download resources and read the stories of athletes, key supporters, and more.

  • The Aspen Institute released the State of Play 2022 Report, which includes the latest youth sports trends related to participation, physical and mental health, coaching, and costs to play.
  • Sport Integrity Global Alliance’s (SIGA) “Universal Standards on Youth Development and Protection.”
  • SIGA launched its’ Universal Standards on Youth Development and Protection [PDF] and invites all sports organizations to adopt them.
  • The National Recreation and Park Association's “Active Parks! Implementation Guide”
  • The Active Parks! Implementation guide [PDF] provides an overview on increasing physical activity using parks, trails, and greenways. It includes a step-by-step process professionals can follow to equitably increase physical activity, plus sample infrastructure improvement, community engagement, programming, and public awareness actions to get started.
