MORE TO EXPLORE...
The American Therapeutic Recreation Association is excited to provide the opportunity for ATRA Student and Professional members to receive the Martha Judge Scholarship for First Time Conference Attendees. Named in honor of Ms. Martha Judge, a longtime ATRA member, past ATRA board member, and a proud attendee of EVERY ATRA conference, this scholarship provides financial resources for individuals who have never attended an ATRA conference. Through the prompting of Dr. Tim Passmore, this scholarship was officially named in honor of Martha at the 2022 Annual Conference in Birmingham, AL.
The American Therapeutic Recreation Association will be offering financial scholarships to students and current professionals who might not otherwise be able to attend the Annual ATRA Conference. Applications are due May 1 by 11:59 PM. Scholarships up to $500 will be awarded to help cover the costs associated with attending the ATRA Annual Conference. Recipients are responsible for transportation to/from the conference and are expected to arrange travel to remain at the Conference in its entirety. This scholarship is a “working scholarship” where recipients will assist in various aspects of implementing the conference such as room hosting, registration and monitoring social events.
Those interested must submit an online application, which includes answering four essay questions.
Recipients are selected in a blind review of applicants by ATRA's Scholarship Committee.
